AUGUST 2013 PLAYLIST

Wow, so, well, it's been a month hasn't it? A very strange month. There was a wedding, a funeral, I turned 25, EarthBound came out on Wii U's Virtual Console. It's also been lovely weather. L-o-v-e-l-y. In England, we literally love to talk about the weather. What it's been like, what it currently is, what might happen later in the day, how it will change in the next week - and how it will affect our day-to-day lives. It's kinda boring but we always seem to find ourselves talking about it. Why? Maybe it's cause we're an island and we have unpredictable weather.

Anyway, it's now September 2nd and the weather is still lovely. Real nice. Hot day today. Weeoooooo! But I have a playlist from last month for you to listen to. It's the kind of thing that you can just leave on in the background. I hope that you like it. It's just my taste in music. I hope you hear something here that you've never heard before. It depends who is reading this I suppose. Of course, if you know my blog already you've probably listened to these songs already.

THING OF THE MONTH || Lindsay Lowend - Wind Fish EP

Why? Because it's so new, so fresh, so easy to get into, and also it is so totally the kind of music that I like. I may be– no, I am biased, but I think liking videogames or the music of videogames or even getting the Zelda reference is beside the point. It's a mix of styles, from hip hop to chiptune, that swirls like entrance music for ghetto cosplayers or rapping programmers. Moreover, it's quite an odyssey, starting with more candy-sweet pop-flavoured sounds and ending with expert composition and synth manipulation. Lovely. Listen to it. Here's my actual write-up of it.
